Solar Flashlight with Flex Head

Solar Flashlight with Flex Head

My boys and I were helping out a friend at his RV show booth a few weeks back and we ran across this really cool solar powered flashlight… so I figured I’d share the cool news.

These solar flashlights are high quality, high brightness, and durable. The ten LED model has a flexible neck for directing the light on the spot you need it without having to prop the light, hold it in your mouth, or other such rigging.

Looking for a solar flashlight… check them out.

I’m sitting here watching our oldest son as he is going thru his lifeguard certification training. He has come a long way in prep and he only has a bit more to accomplish. He is learning about working as a team in a rescue situation. I trust that God will use him to be a blessing to many folks with the specialized instruction and the desire to serve that he has.

Now, while I’m here watching my boy… I’m also working on our websites for professional sign letters and bronze plaques. I’m also doing a little planning and writing.

More later…

Well, we made the drive down to the Central Florida area to shuttle the special “Mobile Marketing Unit” back to the wonderful world of Georgia. We have a short term leasing plan set-up for this vehicle which will allow us to experiment with offering our promotional business marketing products and services to much of the country (more on that later).

So, as we’re driving it up the highway, across comes a nice size whitetail deer. Being aware of the possibility that there could be others following behind, I slowed a bit. Yep, there were others. The other 4 deer were unseen until just the right (wrong) moment… It seemed like they waited until we were right there, and then ALL of them decided it was time ti cross the road.

With what became a wall of deer across the road, I had to choose which one would die at that time and then straddle that deer to minimize the steering affects of the impact. Unlike a hunting decision, this time I wanted the smallest! The third deer was the one we would be hitting, and it was the smallest… Praise the Lord!

I’m not finished gathering the lessons the Lord desires for me to learn from this event and the following situations to get the unit repaired, etc. but since He is always faithful to keep working with us… I’ll get them along the way.

Friends of ours have a business that provides these cool little motorized bicycles called, Whizzer Motorbikes. That’s right! That’s the name… Whizzer.

They also provide these little gas powered engine for bicycle kits, for those who like to install these kind of things for themselves on their own bicycle.

Thought you’d like to know… check them out ;)

This morning my wife and I will shuttle our van back to the dealership for yet another visit to the “door doctor” to have another stab at finding our electronic door issue. I guess it’s too much to expect a speedy and thorough solution to a problem, either with our lives, our own bodies or our vehicles.

The Lord is allowing these issues, and for a purpose we may not ever know. They are not life altering, not really, but they are a test of patient waiting and calm interaction with other people… people with their own issues and problems.

So, the question may be, “How can God use me and my problems, as I travel along today’s path, for His great purpose in other people’s lives, while knocking off the rough edges on me?” I may have to wait for the answer :)

Have a great day…

Well, I just finished (quite abruptly, due to a cell phone battery going bye-bye) speaking with our oldest son who is off for another week at camp. He was explaining an activity they participated in during the past week. I’ll relate a small portion of this activity to illustrate our need for teamwork.

They were divided into small teams of 4 each, given a log, revealed an objective, and released on their journey. The team had only one way to accomplish the “mission”… teamwork. No other way existed for them to make things happen. The log was too big. They had to stay together and work together to reach the goal.

What about our lives? Don’t we have this situation reveal itself quite often? We must work with people as a team to accomplish the tasks which are set before us on any given day. Sometimes, maybe much too often, we forget this simple fact.

So, grab your team’s log and let’s get with it!

In case you haven’t noticed, we didn’t really get off to running start with our collective blog :( —- but we’ll try to make up for it in the future.

Welcome to our first post in this collective effort. All six of us will be around as we come and go. We’ll get it set-up and start blogging soon!
